Our experience has shown that while 4x6 postcards will work if you are on a budget - the large 5.5x8.5 inch postcards and jumbo 6x11 inch postcards are most effective. These larger postcards standout in the mail box and provide plenty of space to describe the products and services you offer.

In general you want a professional high quality postcard with high quality imagery and you want to promote the benefits of your service. We also recommend including at least a partial list of your treatments and associated pricing. Also, it is a good idea to offer a discount or some type of special offer as this will often entice someone to try your service even if they are currently frequenting another business.

Mailing List Selections

For Spas and Salons we recommend using a residential mailing list. With this type of list we can select women within a particular age range and income level. We would also typically use geographical selections to ensure we are mailing your postcards to people within a reasonable driving distance of your business.

How Often to Mail

As with any postcard marketing campaign - repetition (mailing to the same list of recipients multiple times) results in the best response rates. This is particularly important for Salons and Spas as not everyone you mail to will be interested in your services the first time they receive your postcard. For Salons and Spas we recommend mailing to same list of recipients once a month. This will allow your postcard to be in front of the recipient when they are ready for a day of pampering and will also provide excellent branding for your business.
